2. Check that the heater is working properly.
9.1.3 Temperature too high
If the water temperature in the boiler is too high, Fault, temperature too high will appear in the
display. Feeder operation will be interrupted until the water in the boiler has cooled to the set
maximum temperature. Make sure that the end user provides the calves with feed using an al-
ternative method as long as feed operation is interrupted.
You can correct the fault as follows:
1. Confirm Fault, temperature too high by choosing .
2. In Boiler water start?, press and keep depressed .
3. Release water from the heat exchanger’s boiler into the mixer beaker until the fault message
in the display disappears.
4. Confirm Mixer: draining? by choosing .
Check the temperature of the water supply if the boiler is supplied with preheated water.
9.1.4 Boiler not filled
When you switch on the automatic feeder, the control unit checks whether the boiler is filled
with water. If it is not filled, feeder operation will be interrupted and the message Fault, Boiler
not filled will appear in the display.
Feeder operation will be interrupted. Make sure that the end user provides the calves with feed
using an alternative method as long as feed operation is interrupted.
You can correct the fault as follows:
1. Confirm Fault, boiler not filled by choosing .
2. Check the water supply.
3. In Fill boiler?, press .
4. Check that the water jet hits the rod electrode and the display shows covered.
5. Check that the shutoff valves and the drain valve are not leaking.
Note: If liquid flows into the mixer through these valves, the rod electrode cannot be ground-
ed (see 9.1.5 "Shortage of water" - 91).
If the fault persists, proceed as specified in 9.1.5 "Shortage of water" - 91.
9.1.5 Shortage of water
If the rod electrode or the supply electrode is not grounded in the mixer beaker when water is
being added and the water meter sends no pulse, a water test will be started. If the water test
is not successful, then feed preparation and animal identification will be switched off.
Fault, water shortage appears in the display.
