6. Shorten the twist spindle to the correct length at the third groove in the twist spindle.
Warning: Wear safety glasses when cutting the twist spindle.
7. Push the twist spindle through the extension plates to the smart lock.
Extension plates are not needed if the cylinder lock is 38 mm or longer.
