Service codes An error code is shown with an "E" at the beginning and by the error LED lighting up
Secondary system - regulation
Service
code
Type Description Remedy
1 IP Error Primary current limit exceeded. Cur-
rent limiter was not able to counteract
the increase or current rise was too
fast
Transformer - bead wire break; re-
place power module
2 PWM Minimum frequency not reached Check transformer connections; re-
place power module
3 Current limiter Current limiter comparator has trig-
gered at least 30 times in a row (once
per half-wave). The current could not
be reduced by reducing the pulse
width
Replace the power module
4 Self-test error - voltage
too low
Serious error - cannot be reset! After
15 zero crossings a voltage of ~69V
could not be reached
Disconnect welding power lead;
check transformer connections; re-
place power module
5 Self-test error - zero
crossing
Incorrect zero crossing sequence de-
tected
Replace the power module
6 Primary <> secondary
communication
An error has occurred in the commu-
nication between primary and sec-
ondary, which cannot be resolved by
repeated reset attempts
Perform software update; replace
power module
Secondary system - control
Service
code
Type Description
9 = HOT Temperature > HOT Operating temperature too high.
The device shows "HOT" on the dis-
play. The error is logged as Error E9
in the service tool
Allow device to cool (do not switch off
the device - the fan will cool it down)
10 113V error Output voltage has exceeded 113 V
after 300 ms. Error cannot be reset
Replace the power module
11 PSU15V Error in the 15 V power supply. Cor-
rect range between 13 V and 16 V, if
the level falls below 13 V it must first
increase to 14.5 V again
Disconnect remote control or TIG
welding torch; replace power module
12 Communication
primary <-> secondary
An error has occurred in the commu-
nication between primary and sec-
ondary, which cannot be resolved by
repeated reset attempts
Perform software update; replace
power module
13 USB - connection error USB connection errors have occurred
- data transfer error (CRC) or data
volume is too high
Unplug and re-insert USB cable; re-
start the service tool; check/update
USB driver
14 USB - authentication Data communication established
without the required authentication
Invalid device access
15 USB - storage error Incorrect storage instruction e.g. data
to be stored in the flash memory is too
large
Incorrect update config file; download
current file from the DownloadCenter
