ESD guidelines
No guarantee or warranty claims can be made in respect of any improperly handled elec-
tronic component or PC board.
Overview The "Replacing components" section contains the following parts:
- Opening the housing
- Replacing the BPS1500 PC board
- Replacing the BPS1800 PC board
- Replacing the secondary diode
- Connecting the fan plug connection
- Replacing the TP150 fan
- Replacing the LC1800 PC board and TP180 fan
- Replacing the transformer
- Closing the housing
WARNING! Work that is carried out incorrectly can cause serious injury and dam-
age. All activities described in the Service Instructions must only be carried out by
Fronius-trained service engineers.
Read the "Safety rules" chapter in the product's Operating Instructions.
WARNING! An electric shock can be fatal. Before opening the device, observe
the discharge time for electrically-charged components (e.g. capacitors) specified
in the Service Instructions, the Operating Instructions or on the device itself.
Follow the five safety rules:
- Disconnect completely
- Ensure the device cannot be switched back on
- Check that the device is de-energised
- Carry out earthing and short-circuiting
- Cover nearby live components or make them inaccessible

boards. This primarily applies to ESD compatible
