Documents such as Envelopes or Manifold Paper
Sliding the feed mode switch left to switch the feed mode to
Manual/Single mode allows you to scan documents such as
envelopes or manifold paper. Manual/Single mode reduces
the load on documents placed in the feeder so that documents
are fed without any fault for a successful scan.
1 Load a document in the ADF paper chute (feeder).
To scan manifold paper, position the bound edge first when loading
the paper.
For details, refer to "Chapter 2 How to Load Documents" (page 34).
2 Slide the feed mode switch left to switch the feed mode to
Manual/Single mode.
The following screen is displayed on the LCD of the operator panel.
3 Scan the document with the image scanning application.
For details, refer to the image scanning application manual.
ATTENTION
For details about the allowed thickness of documents to be scanned,
refer to "2.2 Documents for Scanning" (page 41).
ATTENTION
Operating the feed mode switch during a scan causes an error.
Setting the feed mode switch to Manual/Single mode disables
[Check Overlapping (Ultrasonic)] in the multifeed detection
setting.
HINT
The scanner will wait for the next document to be loaded until the
time specified for the Timeout time elapses, even if there is no
document in the ADF paper chute (feeder).
