Assembly Stage 2: Connect the Exhaust System
It is required that an exhaust fan is connected and operating whenever you run a job on your laser.
A properly installed exhaust fan removes smoke and fumes from the case and exhausts them to the
outside of the building or a fume extractor. For Coolbox users, skip this step and refer to Appendix A:
Coolbox Assembly.

2. Attach Exhaust Fan: Secure the other end of the ducting, connected to the machine, to the
exhaust fan. Now repeat the ducting and clamping process on the other side of the exhaust fan,
creating a sequence of machine to ducting to exhaust fan to second ducting. Now plug in the exhaust
fan into the bottom power plug marked “exhaust” on the back of your Muse machine.
1. Position Ducting: Place your 4” ducting over the Exhaust Port located at the back of the
machine and hold. Secure with 4” ducting clamp.
