VENTILATOR VERIFICATION TESTS
The Ventilator Verification Test (VVT) is a set of simple self-tests designed to
confirm ventilator functionality. It is designed as a troubleshooting procedure to
check the operation of a multitude of functions. A series of simple user prompts
guides the user through each step.
NOTE The Ventilator Verification Test should be performed quarterly, or
whenever a Call Service pop-up window appears.
It is necessary to perform a VVT after a software update.
When the iVent
TM
201 detects that a VVT has not been performed, or if for any
reason the iVent
TM
201 has failed to pass a VVT previously, a warning pop-up
window appears (Figure 157).
