Restoring Factory Default State
In some cases, you may need to restore your device to the factory default
state by clearing the memory from your device. For example, you should
clear the memory:
z When your device does not respond after being restarted.
z When you forget your password.
Clearing the memory means all data you have entered in your device’s
memory, including all files, system settings and additional applications you
have installed, will be erased. (Applications installed to ROM at the factory
are not affected.)
Follow this procedure to clear the memory from your device:
1. Remove the battery and then replace it.
2. Press the Home
key and Enter
key, and while keeping the two
keys down, press the power button.
3. Release all the keys when you see the “Clean boot” message.
