9 TROUBLESHOOTING
Symptom Conrmation Items Cause Solution
The cutting position is
shifted with P&C.
The cutting position is
shifted to the Y direction.
The serial number
is older than
“E309xxxxxx.
The registration mark
sensor is not working
correctly by the noise of
the Y relay board. The
GND has to connect for
the Y relay board.
Connect the GND on
the Y relay board. Refer
to the technical bulletin
No.533 to connect the
GND.
Or replace the Y relay
board.
Update the rmware to
the latest version.
Conrm the version of
rmware is later than
V2.00.
The sensor level for
the rst position did not
adjust correctly when the
rmware version is not
later than V2.10 when
the media is not at.
Update the rmware to
later than V2.10.
Update the rmware to
the latest version.
Conrm it is shifting
about 5 mm to the X
direction.
About 5 mm shift to the
X direction when the
blade holder is installing
to the wrong position.
Install the blade holder
to the correct position
where it is the front or
the rear position.
The position shifted to
the X or Y direction.
It shifts always with
same P&C.
There is printed object
inside of the registration
mark.
The cutting object
is detecting as the
registration mark.
Print the cutting object
to the outside from the
registration mark.
The cutting position is
shifted randomly.
Conrm the media is not
skewing when the media
is feeding.
The skewing occurs
when the adhesion
between the surface
media and the base
media is not strong
enough.
Use the good media that
has enough adhesion
between the surface
media and the base
media.
Conrm the registration
mark sensor cover goes
down when the sensor is
detecting the registration
mark.
Conrm the PAPER
WEIGHT setting is not
set to OFF at the ARMS
settings.
The PAPER WEIGHT is
set to OFF.
Set the PAPER WEIGHT
settings to ON.
