The TNC must be specially prepared
by the ma&km Tooi buildw for
the use of e 3D touch probe.

After you press the NC start key, the touch probe begins executing the
selected probe function. The machine tool builder sets the feed rate F at
which the probe approaches the workpiece (MP 6120). When the 3D
touch probe contacts the workpiece, it
l
transmits a signal to the TNC:
The coordinates of the probed position are stored
l
stops moving
l
returns to its starting position in rapid traverse.
If the stylus in not deflected within the distance defined in MP6130, the
TNC displays an error message.
