Appendix II –
Firmware Upgrade Procedure
The DTS60 dielectric oil test set supports in-system firmware upgrades. The user should
follow the procedure below:
1. Obtain the isp.exe file (downloading software for Windows)
2. Obtain the dts60_ddmmyy.a90 file (new firmware, ddmmyy = day_month_year)
3. Connect the DTS60 equipment with a personal computer through the auxiliary serial
port (optional Printer port).
4. Execute the following command from a command prompt environment, Figure AII-1:
isp -pv dts60df_xxxxxx.a90 COM1
Note:
The above command assumes that the equipment is interfaced to the COM1 serial
port of the personal computer (also used: COM2, COM3, COM4)
5. Power on the DTS60 equipment
6. The downloader will send the new firmware and verify for an error free transmission
7. Press any key in order to terminate the isp.exe operation
8. The DTS60 equipment is upgraded
