(1) Connect the X-path cables to each HIE according to Figure 5-9 (LOC05-70) through Figure 5-12
(LOC05-90). Eight cables need to be connected for VSP 5100 and 5100H, while 16 cables need to
be connected for VSP 5500 and 5500H.
For example, connect the X-path cable to which the red/red label is attached to the HIE-01G 0 port
to which the red/red label ( ) is attached.
NOTE: Insert the X-path cable until its latch clicks so that it is xed rmly.
(2) Connect the X-path cables described in Step (1) to each ISW. Eight cables need to be connected for
VSP 5100 and 5100H, while 16 cables need to be connected for VSP 5500 and 5500H.
For example, connect the X-path cable to which the red/red label is attached to the ISW01 0 port to
which the red/red label ( ) is attached.
NOTE: Insert the X-path cable until its latch clicks so that it is xed rmly.
