HYDRAULIC BRAKE
BRAKE FLUID REPLACEMENT/AIR
BLEEDING (NC700X/S)
Do not allow foreign material to enter the system
when filling the reservoir.
When using a commercially available brake bleeder,
follow the manufacture’s operating instructions.
BRAKE FLUID DRAINING
Front brake: Turn the handlebar until the reservoir is parallel to the
ground.
Remove the reservoir cover screws [1], reservoir cover
[2], set plate [3] and diaphragm [4].
Rear brake: Support the motorcycle in an upright position.
Remove the rear brake reservoir mounting bolt [1] and
reservoir [2].
Remove the cover screws [3], reservoir cover [4], set
plate [5] and diaphragm [6].
Temporarily install the reservoir and mounting bolt to
the reservoir stay lower hole [7] using a 6 mm nut [8].
Align the reservoir tab [9] with the reservoir stay cut out
[10].
Connect a bleed hose [1] to the caliper bleed valve [2].
Loosen the bleed valve and pump the brake lever/pedal
until no more fluid flows out of the bleed valve.
