Step 7 After verifying that the new smoke detector is properly installed, switch on the
active and standby power supplies to the re alarm control panel.
Step 8 Check that the new smoke detector is working properly.
NO TE
If the red indicator blinks once every 6s, the smoke detector is working properly.

Dispose of the removed smoke detector that is
conrmed faulty.
4.4.3 Replacing a Heat Detector
Prerequisites
A spare heat detector of the same model is available and functional.
Impact on the System
The
re extinguishing system stops working during the replacement.

Tools: protective gloves, step ladder, Phillips screwdriver

Before replacing the heat detector, inform the related administration department of the
temporary downtime of the re extinguishing system. After the replacement, inform the
administration department that the system has become operational.
