16 Malfunction and fault table
1. Motor fails to start when the "On" button is pressed.
Cause
Remedy
supply line was not connected
connect the supply line
main isolator is not switched on turn on the main isolator
mains fuse faulty replace circuit breaker in front
of the switch box of the com-
pactor
not enough oil in the hydraulic tank (float switch)
Attention!
fill hydraulic oil up to approx.
5 cm below the tank cap (see
maintenance)
(oil type see maintenance in-
structions)
emergency stop button was pressed check situation and if possible
unlock emergency stop again
temperature switch triggers
let the machine cool down and
thoroughly check the hydrau-
lic system
Can also be triggered by over-
load
key switch (if existing) is locked turn key switch to position "I"
at hydr. controlled systems, there is the possibility that the
release pressure switch will not switch
replace pressure switch
inspection hatch not closed
safety limit switch has not switched
close inspection hatch
adjust safety limit switch
