5 Safety and protective equipment
Depending on the type, the machine is equipped with safety and protective devices, which are
explained in the following chapter.
Emergency stop push-button and emergency stop key
At least two EMERGENCY STOP buttons are installed on the compactor to avert danger to
man and machine.
Emergency stop buttons must always be accessible. EMERGENCY STOP push-buttons may
under no circumstances be obstructed or placed behind objects.

Mechanical service life: 5 × 106 switching cycles
Electrical service life: 1.6 × 106 switching cycles

Protective devices must not be rendered ineffective or used improperly.
DANGER!
Switching off the machine in an emergency
In an emergency, the machine is immediately put out of operation by pressing the
emergency stop button.
