15.2 Maintenance in the power pack chamber
Prior to maintenance:
When servicing the power pack chamber, appropriate safety measures must be taken to pre-
vent people from falling into the filling opening.
Open the lid of the portable compactor (if existing)
• Loosen and remove the screws of the cover above the power pack
• Open the cover
• Carry out the required maintenance in the power unit chamber
• Close the cover of the power unit chamber
• Secure the cover above the power pack with the previously removed screws
For a compactor with pendulum ram:
• Use a triangular wrench to loosen the two locks at the top of the power unit cover
• Open the cover above the power pack
• Carry out the required maintenance in the power unit chamber
ATTENTION!

Before checking the oil level, move the ram to the rear position and stop the
machine.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS before working on the machine:

Bring main switch to "OFF" position!
•
Secure main switch against restart! (use personal pad-
lock)
•
Pull out the mains plug!
•
Attach a suitable safety note to prevent it from being re-
connected!
WARNING!
Components of the hydraulic system can become very hot during operation.
•
Let all components cool down before performing any maintenance or work
on the hydraulic system!
