15.1 Operational maintenance
For operational maintenance, a daily visual inspection of the machine for visible damage is
necessary. This also includes an extended check once per week. The tests should be carried
out before starting work. After a container emptying, a separate check must be carried out in
each case.
Electrical system:
Maintenance of the safety limit switch on the inspection hatch
Check the alignment and the correct mounting of the actuator. Check the switch and wiring
for possible damage.
Defective or improper safety limit switches must be replaced immediately as otherwise hazard
to persons cannot be excluded. Interventions in the device as well as repairs are inadmissible!
The inspection hatch may only be opened for cleaning and maintenance purposes.
Clean the machine
Clean the machine periodically to reach a long service life. Cleaning the inside of the contain-
er is not required under normal conditions. Observe the instructions for work inside the con-
tainer. The electrical equipment of the portable compactor corresponds to protection class IP
54.
When cleaning with a high-pressure cleaner, pay attention to the following points:
• Distance between round jet nozzle and surface to be cleaned: > 70 cm.
• Distance between flat jet nozzle or dirt blaster and surface to be cleaned: > 30 cm.
• Do not direct the water jet at electrical components, connectors, seals or hoses.
DANGER!
During cleaning, under unfavorable circumstances, water may penetrate into the elec-
trical components of the machine.
•
Cleaning or spraying the electrical components with water, high-pressure
cleaners or steam jets is not permitted!
NOTE!
In case of damage due to improper cleaning and water ingress, we cannot assume any
warranty!
