10.1 One-piece lid (with gas struts)
Open the galvanized closures on the compaction head. Use the handle on the side of the lid.
Thanks to the gas struts the lid moves automatically upward. The gas struts of the lid create a
counterforce and counteract the weight of the lid. The lid movement is dampened. To close
the lid, use the existing rope attached to the lid.
For compactors with gas struts on the lid, always close the lid for transport! Failure to do so
may damage the gas struts.
Additional hook for securing the lid (option)
To secure the lid, an additional hook can be mounted. It is fastened laterally above the lid on
the portable compactor. The hook is used to lock the lid in the open position.
WARNING!
When opening the lid, the gas struts are under pressure. The lid moves upward!
