Before carrying out maintenance or servicing work, make sure that the main switch is
switched off and locked with the personal padlock.
The removal of covers or fixed guards must be done only by authorized persons and only after
disconnecting the machine from the mains and locking the main switch in the "Off" position.
The function of each control device and the EMERGENCY STOP button must be checked! If
any fault or damage of any kind is detected, especially faults related to the safety equipment
of a machine, the machine should be shut down immediately.
If the portable compactor is not in operation, it must be secured against unauthorized use by
closing the main switch and / or removing the key (if equipped with a key switch).
Compaction chamber and container must never be overfilled. If the container is full up to its
design capacity, all other material must be stored in a separate collection container or inter-
mediate storage space and must not be filled into the portable compactor until the container
has been emptied.
Operation by persons under the age of 18 is prohibited. Persons commissioned to work on the
machine must have read and understood the operating instructions and, in particular, the safe-
ty instructions, and be in the appropriate mental and physical condition. This is expediently
carried out in a briefing which is documented in the final report. This knowledge may be re-
quested by the operator.
