Pre-crush plate
The ram is in its rear position and the pre-crush plate is at the bottom. The compactor is filled.
Then the ram moves forward and presses the material to be compacted against the pre-crush
plate. After two or three compaction cycles, the pre-crush plate moves upward and the ram
pushes the material into the container.
