GPS/GPS-A OPERATION
N GPS Set mode (Continued)

Set the data extension capability to “Course/Speed”
or OFF.
When you select Course/Speed, the transceiver’s
course and speed information is transmitted along with
the position data.
./4% WhenCourse/Speed is selected, “Com-
ment (Extension)” appears instead of “Comment,
and number of characters is limited to 36.

Select either the DHM or HMS format to transmit the
current UTC (Universal Time Coordinated) time as a
time stamp, or turn OFF the function.

If there is no symbol you want to use, you can make a
desired symbol code, as described below.
