4. Pull the radial air bag 2 mm out of the crimp
ferrule again
5. Crimp the front crimp ferrule.
(60.5 mm crimping dimension/ 57 mm crimping
jaws)
6. Insert the second crimp ferrule onto the radial
air bag.
7. Mount the contour piece 2.1 (045 01 111)
using 2 M3x5.1 threaded screws after applying
Loctite 274 "blue".
8. Crimp ferrule should have 2 mm clearance
between radial air bag and contour piece
Caution
Crimp the crimp ferrule in 6-8 steps! Turn
forward by about 1 cm each time after
crimping!
Gradually increase the pressure until full
pressure is applied at the end.
Caution
If there is no or too little clearance, unscrew
the contour piece again, push the crimp
ferrule back and shorten the radial air bag
using a cutter knife.
