The handset icon indicates the call the terminal is answering. To answer a call that is queued, use the navigation keys to
select the call. Pressing the selection key for
Ok
or ·, the selected call is answered and the current call is placed
at the end of the queue. Pressing the
Answer
key, the selected call is answered and the current call is disconnected.
When selecting the answered call, the
Hang Up
key disconnects the current call.
If the user receives a call while on a call, the icon will appear on the right of the display, indicating one or more
queued calls.
4.6. Answering calls from the call queue
When the terminal is being called, calls can only be answered:
» Lifting the handset, activating the speakerphone or headset.
In all other situations, the calls can be answered:
» Lifting the handset, activating the speakerphone or headset.
» Pressing the
Ok
key.
» Pressing the key that corresponds to the line you are calling.
For call access control, the terminal has a cursor under the icons of the on-hold call queue. With the positioning of the
cursor you can control the call you want to answer, using the navigation keys.
1. With the cursor positioned on the answered call icon (handset icon):
» Pressing the hang-up key: the answered call will be disconnected, without answering the next call in the queue,
releasing the dial tone.
» Pressing the key or Ok: the answered call will be placed in the last position of the queue, without
answering the next call, releasing the dial tone.
» Through the handset hook, the Speakerphone key or headset: the current call will be disconnected. The call
that was rst in line becomes the current call, with the bell ringing.
2. With the cursor positioned on the icon of a call in the queue:
» Pressing the answer key: the call selected by the cursor will be answered and the current call will be disconnected.
» Pressing the key or Ok: the call selected by the cursor will be answered and the current call will be placed
at the last position in the queue.
For each answered call, in all cases, the cursor automatically returns to the rst call in the queue. Thus, if no other call is
selected, the attendance will occur in order of arrival of the call in the queue.
4.7. Chained attendance of external call
An alternative way to answer queued calls is through the programmed line-access keys. When an external call is in
progress, you can answer a second call directed to the extension (LED of the key programmed as ashing line) by
pressing the dedicated line key. The previous call is placed in a parking position automatically. This procedure can be
repeated again if another call is forwarded to the extension, and so on, depending on the number of parking positions
available at the user’s exchange. To return any of the parked calls press the dedicated line key.
4.8. Actions Menu
The
Actions
menu provides shortcuts to important and commonly used features in everyday life. To access the
Actions
menu, press the selection key.
Depending on the usage of the terminal, the Actions menu presents different functionalities in 3 operating modes, Idle
Mode, Talk Mode, and Call Mode:
» Idle Mode: when the terminal has no established connections and is not receiving a call.
» Always Forward: enables forwarding of all calls directed to the terminal. Can be congured for another extension,
group, or external number.
» Silent Mode: when enabled, the terminal does not generate any sound.
» Do Not Disturb: blocks incoming calls directed to the extension.
» Lock Keyboard: locks the terminal’s keyboard, to unlock it hold down the * key for ve seconds.
» Conversation Mode: when the terminal has an established call.
» Transfer to: allows you to transmit the connection in progress.
