Adjusting the Check Spring Tension
Check spring tension is not necessary to adjust under
normal conditions.
However, you need to adjust the tension of the check
spring when it is replaced.
1. Remove the setscrews A (2 pcs.) and the lower thread
guide plate.
2. Remove setscrew B, setscrews C (2 pcs.) and thread
catcher panel.
3. Hook the tail of the check spring into the one of three
slits.
Use a narrow screwdriver to hook the check spring.
• Top slit: Higher tension
• Center slit: Standard tension
• Bottom slit: Lower tension
4. Attach the thread catcher panel and lower thread guide
plate.
