Battery installation
Requirements
Truck parked.
Battery lock removed.
Tools and Material Required
Crane or forklift truck
Crane slings
Battery replacement trolley (o)
Procedure
Installing the battery with a crane or forklift truck
Attach the hooks of the crane slings to the strap eyes (5) on the battery.
The discharged crane slings must not fall onto the battery cells.
Slowly and carefully lower the battery into the truck.
Installation with a battery replacement trolley
Position the battery replacement trolley and battery in front of the battery com-
partment.
Push the battery as far as the stop in the battery compartment.
Insert the battery lock.
Pull the clamping lever (6) of the battery lock 180° clockwise.
Attach the battery connector (3) to the truck.
Check all cables and plug connections for visible signs of damage.
Close the battery cover.
When the battery has been installed the truck is ready for operation.
