The following electrical safety guidelines apply to AC-powered services gateways:
AC-powered services gateways are shipped with a three-wire electrical cord with a
grounding-type plug that fits only a grounding-type power outlet. Do not circumvent
this safety feature. Equipment grounding should comply with local and national
electrical codes.
You must provide an external certified circuit breaker rated minimum 15 A in the building
installation.
The power cord serves as the main disconnecting device. The socket outlet must be
near the switch and be easily accessible.
When a services gateway is equipped with multiple AC power supplies, all power cords
(one for each power supply) must be unplugged to completely disconnect power to
the switch.
Note the following warnings printed on the label next to the power supplies:
CAUTION: THIS UNIT HAS MORE THAN ONE POWER SUPPLY CORD. DISCONNECT
ALL POWER SUPPLY CORDS BEFORE SERVICING TO AVOID ELECTRIC SHOCK.
ATTENTION: CET APPAREIL COMPORTE PLUS D'UN CORDON D'ALIMENTATION.
