3.1.1 OPERATING DISPLAY AND FLOOR MODE
There are four operating modes for cleaning floors
with the Automatic Electric Brush. The selected
operating mode is shown on the display:

Bar lit

Automatic hard floor mode
The Automatic Electric Brush has detected a hard floor using intelli-
gent floor detection and automatically vacuums in hard floor mode.
Fringes lit
continuously
Automatic carpet mode
The Automatic Electric Brush has detected carpet using intelligent
floor type detection and automatically vacuums in carpet mode.
Bar flashes
slowly
Manual hard floor mode
You have manually switched to hard floor mode using the function
key on the handle of the Upright Vacuum Cleaner.
Fringes flash

Manual carpet mode
You have manually switched to carpet mode using the function key
on the handle of the Upright Vacuum Cleaner.
3.1.2 INTELLIGENT FLOOR TYPE DETECTION
The Automatic Electric Brush is equipped with intel-
ligent floor detection. The electronic brush detects
the floor type to be cleaned via a sensor and auto-
matically adjusts the suction process for the differ-
ent floor types: hard floors or carpet.
The Automatic Electric Brush starts with intelligent
floor detection as soon as you switch on the vacuum
cleaner using the main switch.
