– Turn the adjusting screw of rebound damping and the adjusting screw of
compression damping clockwise as far as possible.
– Turn back counterclockwise by the number of clicks corresponding to the fork
leg type.

5.13Checking the steering head bearing play

– Adjust the steering head bearing play without delay.

If the bike is driven for a longer time with play in the steering head bearing, the bearing and the bearing seats in the frame can
be damaged after time.
– Raise the motorcycle and secure it against falling over.
The front wheel is no longer in contact with the ground and the fork legs are no
longer under tension.
