9.2 Cleaning the linear unit
Description The linear unit must be cleaned in compliance with the instructions given here
in order to prevent damage. System components, tools and the robot control-
ler must be cleaned in accordance with the cleaning instructions relevant to
them.
The following must be taken into consideration when using cleaning agents
and carrying out cleaning work:
Only use solvent-free, water-soluble cleaning agents.
Do not use flammable cleaning agents.
Do not use aggressive cleaning equipment.
Do not use steam or refrigerants for cleaning.
Do not use pressure equipment or compressed fluids for cleaning.
It must be ensured that no cleaning agent enters electrical or mechanical
system components.
Personnel protection measures must be taken.
Procedure 1. Shut down the linear unit and the robot and lock them.
2. Stop adjacent system components and lock them.

ponents must be secured by activating the EMERGENCY STOP button.
