BLADE REMOVAL

prevent
accidental starting
of
engine, discon-
nect spark plug lead before performing main-
tenance.
Zone and Electric Start Models
A
SAFETY WARNING': Wear gloves
or
wrap sharp edges of the blade with
a
rag.
Use
a
15/16"
closed end wrench or a
socket and breaker bar to remove or tighten
the blade
nut.
Open end, adjustable wrenches
or
ratchet drives should not be used since
they might slip causing Injury.

Remove the blade nut, turn counterclock
wise. Remove the blade.
SAFETY WARNING: The blade
nut
must be replaced after being removed
and reinstalled

times. The locking feature
of
the
nut
will have decreased and the blade
could loosen
if
replacement
is
not made.
