Using a small punch
or
tip of a
#1
Phillips
screwdriver remove float shaft from float arm
NOTE:
The float shaft has
two
flat areas on
one end. Push on rounded end
only.
Using
needle nose pliers, grasp flat surface of shaft
and remove shaft.
Remove float and inlet needle valve as-
sembly from carburetor body. Examine tip of
needle valve
for
wear
or
damage. Replace as
required.
Clean float using any commercial carburetor
cleaner. Check float
for
damage. Replace
if
necessary.
NOTE:
DO
NOT
clean float with any carbure-
tor cleaner that contains ALCOHOL. Alcohol
may cause float
to
swell and/or leak.
Remove main jet.
Remove nozzle.
