5. OPERATION - ILLUMINATION

The brightness is adjusted in 5 defined increments (FIM)
using a slider:
100% / 55% / 30% / 17% / 10%
Note:
If the Leica DMi8 is equipped with a 2 port infinity port (oS. 44)
switch over to the current port .oS. 58
Leica DMi8 with motorized fluorescence
t If necessary, switch over to the fluorescence axis (Fluor)
with the TL/Fluor button.

CAUTION
Do not switch on the light source until the light guide is
connected to the microscope.
Uncontrolled light output from the light guide poses a
blinding hazard!
There is also a burn hazard at the light guide output!
