Cleaning glass surfaces and objectives
The cleaning of glass surfaces and objectives in particular
should be carried out exclusively as outlined in the bro-
chure "Cleaning of Microscope Optics". The information can

Removing immersion oil
Caution!
Follow safety notes for immersion oil!
First, wipe off the immersion oil with a clean cotton cloth,
and then re-wipe the surface several times with ethyl alco-
hol.
7.3 Handling acids and bases
For examinations using acids or other aggressive chemi-
cals, particular caution must be taken.

Never allow the optics and mechanical parts to come
into direct contact with these chemicals.
