Compressed-air braking system (Federal Republic of
Germany):
Do not begin a journey with the machine attached unless both
coupling heads of the pneumatic brake (yellow and red) are
connected to the tractor and the pressure gauge in the tractor
cabin shows 5.0 bar.
Attention, danger of accident!
Prior to each journey pay attention to the lever position of
the variable load valve of the pneumatic braking system.
Wrong setting reduces the traffic safety (see chapter
"Compressed air brake only: adjusting the variable load
valve", page 48).
Start driving on the road with the towed machine only when the
variable load valve is set to full load (see chapter "Compressed
air brake only: adjusting the variable load valve", page 48).
Hydraulic braking system:
Do not begin a journey with the machine attached unless the
hydraulic tubes are connected to the tractor and the hydraulic
system of the tractor has been checked for correct functioning.
Germany (StVZO (road traffic regulations)):
Towed agricultural equipment with a permissible total weight of
more than 3 t requires an operating license. Any technical
changes, e.g. attaching a trailer coupling, will result in the
invalidity of the operating license.
Prior to any intended changes to the towed implement it should
be clarified whether the modification is generally permitted or
can be entered on the vehicle documents after acceptance by
an expert.
Further heed the national regulations of the country where the
machine is in use.
