3.16 Hydraulic System
Daily visual inspection of the hydraulic system for leaks, chafe
marks, ageing and functional reliability. Defective parts must
immediately be replaced by original spare parts. Maintenance
and repair work on the hydraulic system may only be carried
out by hydraulic experts.
Even in case of normal stress, hydraulic tubes and hydraulic
hoses are subject to natural ageing. They can therefore be
used only for a limited period of time. Hydraulic hoses should
not be used for more than six yours!
Do not lay the hydraulic tubes between tractor and machine
with small radii to avoid pinching and fatigue of the tubes when
driving through bends.
For easier assignment of oil connecting bushes and hydraulic
tubes: transfer the colour marks of the hydraulic tubes to the
connections on the tractor.
Clean coupling parts of the hydraulic hoses with clean cloth.
Plug coupling parts of the hydraulic hoses into the bushes of
the tractor. In case of single-acting connections: Set tractor
control valve on tractor to "Lower":
Hydraulic systems must be deaerated after repair. After
completion of repair a functional test must be carried out.
Max. operating pressure of the hydraulic system: 210 bar
Prior to any assembly work on the hydraulic plant, in particular if
accumulators are used (Figure 16):
depressurise the hydraulic system.
secure hydraulically operated components against
uncontrolled movement (pick-up, cutting device, tailgate,
wrapping table, wrapping ring, film knife, bale transfer unit).
