9.2 Driving on the Road
Attention, danger of injury!
Before travelling on public roads the following requirements
must be met:
Raise pick-up to its top position: See separate operating
manual "PRO-LINK for RPC 445", chapter "Pick-up".
Secure pick-up against lowering by means of chain.
(Figure 64) Move pick-up guide wheels to parking position
and secure them with split pins.
Remove coarse dirt which might impair safety in road traffic.
e.g. bigger clods, dirt on lighting set.
Remove any crop material hanging loosely from the
machine.
Test lighting set for correct functioning. Switch on lighting
system – also with daylight!
Remove both film rolls from the bale wrapper and insert
them into the film roll holder. See chapter "Spare Film
Rolls", page 67.
Remove bale from the baling chamber of the baler.
Close tailgate fully.
Unload bale from round bale wrapper.
Do not drive on the road with the wrapping ring folded
down. Before driving on the road: fold wrapping ring fully up
and secure it hydraulically. See chapter "Wrapping Ring
Safeguard", page 28. See separate operating manual
"PRO-LINK for RPC 445", chapter "Wrapping ring (up and
down)".
Do not drive on the road with the bale tipper folded down.
Fold bale tipper up and lock it with the transport lock. See
chapter "Bale Wrapper: Bale Tipper", page 83.
Fold up and lock ladder of the maintenance platform.
Connect drive shaft to tractor power take-off shaft.
