CUTTING DEVICE
72 LELY WELGER y RPC 445 Tornado
For example: The machine has been operated without cutting
device (i. e. all knives are in home position). Now the 12-knife
group is to be moved to operating position. Some knife slots are
blocked. The knife slot blockage must be removed.
1. step: Deactivate cutting device protection
 Press touch screen button CUTTING DEVICE.
A pop-up menu will open showing the options available:
12-knife group, 13-knife group, 25-knife group and cutting
device protection.
 Press touch screen button 12-KNIFE GROUP.
The 12-knife group is selected.
 Press touch screen button CUTTING DEVICE.
A pop-up menu will open showing the options available:
12-knife group, 13-knife group, 25-knife group and cutting
device protection.
 Press touch screen button CUTTING DEVICE
PROTECTION.
The symbol CUTTING DEVICE PROTECTION
is now crossed out: Cutting device protection is
deactivated.
Attention!
In the following the cutting device knives are moved without
cutting device protection.
2. step: Operate 12-knife group
 Move 12-knife group fully to operating position via the
tractor control valve (180 bar).
 Move 12-knife group fully to home position via the tractor
control valve (180 bar).
Repeat the two working steps above so long until the jamming
of the knife sots is removed and the knives move free and easy.
Attention!
The cutting device protection must be reactivated
immediately after removal of the knife slot blockages to
avoid damage to the cutting device.
