FIELD DEPLOYMENT
90 LELY WELGER y RPC 445 Tornado
 (Figure 77) Frequent visual checks through belt window.
 (Figure 78) If the belts begin to leave their normal position
and drift apart, and/or if material escapes at such points
between the belts, the respective side of the baling
chamber is not sufficiently filled. In this case drive the
machine immediately across the swath with the side
concerned.
 ® (Figure 75) When the set working pressure is reached
(see pressure gauge Figure 76): change regularly between
left and right swath side.
 If a small amount of baling material is in the baling chamber
and no pressure has built up yet (see pressure gauge,
Figure 76), we recommend to switch off the power take-off
shaft during empty runs (e.g. during turning round on the
headland).
9.9.3 Operation at slopes
 For baling at slopes we recommend to begin with the filling
of the higher side of the baling chamber. Then continue as
shown in Figure 75.
 Visual check: after a bale has been ejected from the
machine, do not close the tailgate unless the belts run
again.
9.9.4 Dry, brittle, smooth crop material
 If no material is taken up, the power take-off shaft should
always be switched off after 10 seconds at the latest.
 Switch on the power take-off shaft again just before
material is taken up again.
