Ifyouarereplacingaservercomponentintheserver,youneedtoturnofftheserverandperipheraldevices,
anddisconnectthepowercordsandallexternalcables.
Toinstalltheleft-sidecover/powercut-offswitchassembly,completethefollowingsteps.
Step1.Carefullyturntheserveronitssidesothatitislyingflat,withthecoverfacingup.
Attention:Donotallowtheservertofallover.
Step2.Unlockandremovetheleft-sidecover(see“Removingtheleft-sidecover”onpage184).
Step3.Touchthestatic-protectivepackagethatcontainsthepowercut-offswitchassemblytoany
unpaintedmetalsurfaceontheserver;then,removethepowercut-offswitchassemblyfromthe
package.
Step4.Alignthepowercut-offswitchassemblywiththeholeonthechassiswallandpushtheassembly
towardtherearoftheserver.
