Step 2. Align the notches on the tray with the pins on the chassis, place down the CFF adapter, and slightly
slide it as shown to secure it on the chassis.

Step 3. Close the release pin to secure the CFF adapter into position.
Step 4. Connect the cables to the CFF adapter. See “Internal CFF RAID adapter cable routing” on page 50.
After you finish
1. Connect the cables to the backplane. See ThinkSystem ST650 V2 Backplane/Backplate Cable Routing
Guide.
2. Reinstall the fan cage. See “Install the fan cage assembly” on page 97.
3. Reinstall all the fans. See “Install a hot-swap fan” on page 94.
4. Reinstall all the full-length GPU adapters. See “Install a full-length GPU adapter” on page 114.
5. Reinstall the air baffle. See “Install the air baffle” on page 74.
6. Reinstall all the flash power modules. See “Install a flash power module” on page 100.
