3.  If the drive fails the test, replace the drive.

Complete the following steps until the problem is solved: 
1.  Turn off the server.
2.  Reseat the SAS/SATA adapter.
3.  Reseat the backplane signal cable and backplane power cable.
4.  Reseat the hard disk drive.
5.  Power on the server and observe the activity of the hard disk drive LEDs.

Complete the following steps until the problem is solved. 
1.  Check to see if the system inlet perforation or heatsinks are clogged. 
2.  Make sure that all air baffles are correctly installed in the server. 
3.  Check the thermal grease on the processor, and make sure it's not contaminated.

Intermittent external device problems
Complete the following steps until the problem is solved. 
1.  Make sure that the correct device drivers are installed. See the manufacturer's website for 
documentation.
2.  For a USB device:
a.  Make sure that the device is configured correctly.
Restart the server and press F1 to display the Lenovo XClarity Provisioning Manager V3 system 
setup interface. Then, click System Settings ➙ Devices and I/O Ports ➙ USB Configuration.
b.  Connect the device to another port. If using a USB hub, remove the hub and connect the device 
directly to the server. Make sure that the device is configured correctly for the port. 
Intermittent KVM problems
Complete the following steps until the problem is solved.
Video problems:
1.  Make sure that all cables and the console breakout cable are properly connected and secure. 
2.  Make sure that the monitor is working properly by testing it on another server.
