Toreplaceanadapter,completethefollowingsteps:

Step1.Readthesafetyinformationthatbeginson“Safety”onpagevand“Installationguidelines”on
page116
.
Step2.Turnofftheserverandperipheraldevicesanddisconnectthepowercordsandallexternalcables.
Step3.Removethecover(see“Removingthecover”onpage119).
Step4.Followthecablinginstructions,ifanycomewiththeadapter.Routetheadaptercablesbefore
youinstalltheadapter.
Step5.InserttheadapterintothePCIriser-cardassembly,aligningtheedgeconnectorontheadapter
withtheconnectoronthePCIriser-cardassembly.Presstheedgeoftheconnectorfirmlyinto
thePCIriser-cardassembly.MakesurethattheadaptersnapsintothePCIriser-cardassembly
securely.ThefollowingillustratesshowthedifferenttypesofPCIriser-cardassemblies:
