Step1.Onasystemthatisconnectedtotheserver,openaWebbrowser.IntheAddressorURLfield,
typetheIPaddressorhostnameoftheIMMtowhichyouwanttoconnect.
Note:IfyouareloggingontotheIMMforthefirsttimeafterinstallation,theIMMdefaultsto
DHCP.IfaDHCPhostisnotavailable,theIMMassignsastaticIPaddressof192.168.70.125.
TheIMMnetworkaccesstagprovidesthedefaulthostnameoftheIMManddoesnotrequire
youtostarttheserver.
Step2.OntheLoginpage,typetheusernameandpassword.IfyouareusingtheIMMforthefirsttime,
youcanobtaintheusernameandpasswordfromyoursystemadministrator.Allloginattemptsare
documentedinthesystem-eventlog.
Note:TheIMMissetinitiallywithausernameofUSERIDandpasswordofPASSW0RD(witha
zero,nottheletterO).Youhaveread/writeaccess.Youmustchangethedefaultpasswordthe
firsttimeyoulogon.
Step3.ClickLogintostartthesession.TheSystemStatusandHealthpageprovidesaquickview
ofthesystemstatus.

Bydefault,theicmppacketisblockedbyWindowsfirewall.TheIMMGUIwillthenchangeto“OSbooted”

TheVMwareESXiembeddedhypervisorsoftwareisavailableontheoptionalUSBflashdeviceorSDadapter.
TheUSBflashdeviceandtheSDadaptercanbeinstalledintheUSBconnectorandtheSDadapter
connectoronthesystemboard(see“System-boardinternalconnectors”onpage26forthelocationofthe
connectors).Hypervisorisvirtualizationsoftwarethatenablesmultipleoperatingsystemstorunonahost
systematthesametime.TheUSBflashdeviceortheSDadapterisrequiredtoactivatethehypervisor
functions.
