Important:
1.Whenyoureassemblethecomponentsintheserver,besuretorouteallcablescarefullysothattheyare
notexposedtoexcessivepressure.
2.Whenyoureplacethesystemboard,youmusteitherupdatetheserverwiththelatestfirmwareor
restorethepre-existingfirmwarefromadisketteorCDimage.Makesurethatyouhavethelatest
firmwareoracopyofthepre-existingfirmwarebeforeyouproceed.See“Updatingthefirmware”on
page33,“UpdatingtheUniversalUniqueIdentifier(UUID)”onpage48,and“UpdatingtheDMI/SMBIOS
data”onpage50formoreinformation.
3.Whenyoureplacethesystemboard,makesurethatyouremovetheIntegratedManagementModule
AdvancedUpgradeandplaceitonthenewsystemboard.ForinformationabouttheAdvanced
Upgrade,see“Usingtheremotepresenceandblue-screencapturefeatures”onpage43
.
4.ReactivateanyFeaturesonDemandfeatures.Instructionsforautomatingtheactivationoffeaturesand
