There are four sensor tests that can be selected from the Sensor Tests:
• Staple Sensors
• Cover and Door sensor
• Pass and Media Sensor
• Bin Level Sensor
Select the test for the sensors you want to test from the menu. The following appear on the display for
each test selected.
Staple Sensor Test
Staple C=CL
SL=CL SP=CL H=CL
C=Cartridge present sensor
SL=Staple low sensor
SP=Self-priming sensor
H=Home signal sensor
Cover and Door Sensors
Cover and Door
TC=CL SD=CL
TC=Finisher top cover sensor
SD=Finisher stapler access door
Pass and Media Sensors
Pass and Media
P=OP M=OP
P=Finisher pass thru sensor
M=Finisher medium sensor
Bin Level Sensor
Bin Level
EM=OP NF=OP F=OP
EM=Finisher bin empty sensor
NF=Finisher bin near full sensor
F=Finisher bin full sensor
Once the screen is displayed for the test you have selected, manually actuate the sensor you want to
test. When the sensor is closed CL displays, and when the sensor is open OP displays.
Select Return or Stop to exit the test.
