When you see this: What it means:
An option is grayed out and not accessible You cannot change or configure the option in that
menu screen for one of the following reasons:
• The option is auto-configured or auto-detected.
• The field is informational only.
• The field is password protected and is accessible
only by the User or Administrator
The rest of this section lists the features that display onscreen after you press <F2> to
enter BIOS Setup. We do not describe all the option choices because (1) a few are not user
selectable but displayed for your information, and (2) many of the choices are relatively self-
explanatory.
Main Menu
Feature Choices Description
System Time HH:MM:SS Sets the system time.
System Date MM/DD/YYYY Sets the system date.
Floppy Disk A: Not Installed

Hard Disk Pre-delay Disabled Causes the BIOS to insert a delay before

Feature Choices Description
Type None Informs the system to ignore this drive.
Auto Allows the system to attempt auto-detection of the drive type.
Multi-Sector Disabled Determines the number of sectors per block for multisector
Transfers 2, 4, 8, or 16 sectors transfers. For Type Auto, this field is informational only.
LBA Mode Disabled For Type Auto, this field is informational only.

PIO Mode Standard

Ultra DMA Mode 2 Displays the method for moving data to/from the drive.
