Toavoidpersonalinjuriesduetothelossof
control,DONOTadjusttheseatswhilethe
carismoving.
Anidealpositionoftheseatshouldmakesureyourdriving
positioniscomfortable,whichallowsyoutoholdthe
steeringwheelwithyourarmsandlegsslightlybentand
controlalltheequipment.Makesureyourdrivingposition
iscomfortableandenablesyoutomaintainfullcontrolof
thevehicle.
DONOTreclinethefrontseatbackrestexcessively.
Optimumbenetisobtainedfromtheseatbeltwiththe
backrestanglesettoapproximately25°fromtheupright
(vertical).Thedriverandfrontpassengerseatsshouldbe
positionedasfarrearwardaspractical.T akecarewhen
adjustingtheheightofthefrontseat-thefeetofthe
rearpassengercouldbecometrappedwhentheseatis
lowered.Aproperlyadjustedseathelpsreducetheriskof
injuryfromsittingtooclosetoaninatingairbag.
HeadRestraint
Adjusttheheightoftheheadrestraintsothat
thetopofitisinlinewiththetopofthe
occupant'shead.Thislocationmayreduce
theriskofheadandneckinjuriesintheevent
ofacollision.DONOTadjustorremovethe
headrestraintswhilethecarismoving.
DONOThanganythingonanyheadrestraint
orheadrestraintrod.
Theheadrestraintisdesignedtopreventrearward
movementoftheheadintheeventofacollisionor
