AdaptiveCruiseT argetSpeedAdjustment
Inordertosetthetargetspeed,theadaptivecruisecontrol
systemmustbeinanactivemode.
Usetheacceleratorpedaltoreachthedesiredspeed,short
pressthe'Set'button(6)ontheendoftheadaptivecruise
switchlever,releasethecontrolbuttonandaccelerator
pedal.Thevehiclewillcruiseatthedesiredspeed.
Movetheleverswitchupward(1)andhold,thetarget
speedwillincreaseuntilthedesiredsetspeedappearsin
theinstrumentpack,thenreleasetheswitch.Whenitis
conrmedthatthereisnovehicleinfrontofyourvehicle
orthevehicleaheadexceedsthepreselectedfollowing
distance,thespeedwillbeincreasedtothesetspeed.
Movetheleverswitchdownward(2)andhold,thetarget
speedwilldecreaseuntilthedesiredsetspeedappearsin
theinstrumentpack,thenreleasetheswitch.Whenitis
determinedthatthevehicleaheaddrivingslowlyiswithin
thepre-selectedfollowingdistance,thevehiclespeedwill
decreaseandkeeptheselectedfollowingdistance.
Note:Brieyoperatetheadaptivecruiseleverswitch
upward(1)ordownward(2)once,thetargetspeed
willchange5mph,pressandholdtheleverupwardor
downwardandthespeedwillincreaseordecreasein
1mphincrements,releasetheleverwhenthedesired
speedreadingisdisplayed.
Note:Ifthevehicleaheadcontinuallymakeshard
accelerationordecelerationmanoeuvrestheadaptive
cruisecontrolmaynotbeableaccuratelymaintainthe
requireddistancebetweenvehicles.Itisimportant
thatthedriveralwaysconcentratesandpayattention
tothecurrentvehiclepositionandsituationincase
theyneedtomakeabrakingoravoidancemanoeuvre.
