AuthorisedRepairerinordertocarryoutan
emergencymanualreleaseoftheparking
brake.
ApplyingtheEPB
Whenthevehicleisparkedsafely,selectingPwiththe
gearshiftlevelwillautomaticallyapplytheEPB.Ifautomatic
applicationoftheEPBfails,itisnecessarytomanuallyapply
theparkingbrakeusingtheEPBswitch
•PulltheEPBswitchupwarduntiltheindicatorintheEPB
switchilluminates.
•IftheindicatorlampintheEPBswitchandtheindicator
lamp
intheinstrumentpackilluminate,itindicates
thattheEPBisapplied.
•IftheEPBMIL
P
intheinstrumentpackstayson,it
indicatesthattheEPBhasafault.PleasecontactanMG
AuthorisedRepairerimmediately.
Note:Anaudiblemotornoisemaybeheardwhen
applyingorreleasingtheEPB.
